I am no more than an amateur artist at best; but nevertheless, I love a variety of art forms. One of my favorites is sketching. The first time I sketched was during a required art class for becoming a teacher. My awkward childlike figures were embarrassing to post on the classroom walls. I could not squirm out of it because the professor required posting.
Yet over the ten weeks of lessons, I began to enjoy sketching as a relaxing pastime that continues today. Below are some of my sketches.

Chrysalis is part of a collection depicting creative emergence
- Hiking Boots originated from my boots poised on a log in Yosemite

Camping is a joint project combining my sketch and poem with my sister, Gina's, watercolor techniques

Garden Angel was created with a sketch and pressed flowers from my garden.
